Who would have thought, just a few short months ago, that Marlie Casseus would have a bright future? Marlie, who was born a beautiful and normal looking little girl, arrived in the United States with an unimaginably large and deforming tumor-like growth on her face. Not only was this growth affecting her respiratory system, but it had left her unable to eat or speak; basic abilities most of us take for granted. But Marlie's story has moved thousands of generous souls to spring into action. People like YOU are making it possible for Marlie to receive the attention she urgently needs.
Upon regaining the ability to speak after six years, Marlie thanked all of the people who have helped her along her grueling journey to recovery. Marlie is currently receiving speech therapy and in the near future, will be able to share her voice with the world. Although Marlie continues to require medical attention she has grown and progressed tremendously. She has been transformed not only physically but emotionally as well. Marlie has YOU to thank for her "new voice." Thank YOU immensely for joining us in the making of a miracle.
