Success Stories
5 years old

Franco’s journey began when his mother died from hemorrhagic Preeclampsia twenty-four hours after giving birth. Franco suffered from a congenital heart defect and was in need of an emergency life-saving heart surgery to repair a ventricular septal defect (VSD). At only 5 months Franco experienced difficulty breathing and shortness of breath. His little heart grew weaker by the day.

In 2012,Franco arrived to Miami and was evaluated and treated at Holtz Children’s Hospital. He is doing well and has returned home to Bolivia.  In partnership with Fundacion Salvacor, IKF’s Wonderfund will continue to help children in need of medical treatment. The Bolivian Fund was created  to help these kids in need of medical care. Thank you, with your continued support we can make the difference in the life of other kids like Franco.
